When Erika’s 5 grandchildren unexpectedly entered the AZ foster care system, she moved to Tucson to care for them. They were all living in a cramped hotel room when she was referred to Aviva. Through offered services, Erika received support to find affordable housing, and was provided with emergency resources including clothing, diapers, socks, and underwear. Once the family moved into their new home, they received beds, cribs, and an order of food staples to stock their refrigerator and pantry.
Aviva assisted Erika in navigating the Arizona foster care system so she could make the appropriate arrangements to move her grandchildren back to her home state. This was a lengthy and complicated process that took nearly nine months. Aviva staff were by her side every step of the way!
Erika and her 5 grandchildren recently moved back to the East Coast. Erika said, “I never would have been able to do this without Aviva Children’s Services”.
