Sarah, a member of the Tohono O’odham Nation, took on the responsibility of raising two of her grandchildren. Living on a fixed income, she lacked the resources to meet all of their needs. After noticing that one of the children did not have shoes, a teacher reached out to Aviva to see if we could help.

Thanks to generous donors, Aviva was able to outfit the children with many basics, as well as those much-needed shoes. And when the holidays came around, we were able to provide both children with three age-appropriate toys, a handmade Christmas stocking filled with stocking stuffers, and a handmade quilt. Without Aviva and caring community members like you, their holiday celebration would have been a stark occasion.
