Sew A Thon 2012
The 14th Annual Sew-A-Thon to make Bag for Kids (BFKs) duffle bags was held on Saturday, March 10th, at the Pima Community College West Campus Dining Hall. There was sewing, serging, cording, sorting, counting and bagging the BFKs bags, plus eating and choosing great door prizes. Thank you Rene Luedema, Cakes for Causes, for the cookies and brownies donated this year and to Fred Karcher, Sodexco Foods, for the lunches and breakfast goodies and also to Tina Ernle, Eegees, for the afternoon treat.
Thanks goes to Bud's Drapery and Western Drapery for the fabric donations. A special thank you to Frank Wicks and Terry Lingel for drafting the layout of the facility and making signs and everything else putting together such an event requires.
Most of all, thank you to the volunteer leadership team: Flora and Mae, Nancy, Marsha, Dewayne and Jill and to all 143 volunteers who spent the day doing their part to complete 2086 BFKs bags!!!!!
