One of the goals of Aviva’s Parent Aide program, for children in Child Protective Services (CPS) care, is to provide foster children and their families with safe, consistent, happy and enjoyable opportunities to visit together. Visits may take place in Aviva's visit center, in the CPS offices or in a public place such as the zoo, a park or a restaurant and, in some cases, in the family home. Activities during visits usually involve playing games, reading books or other activities families enjoy when they are together.
The other goal of Aviva's Parent Aide program is to work with the parents on their CPS case plans that were developed with their case managers to help them reunify with their children.
Each visit is supervised by a paid Parent Aide I. Interested? Click here for more information.
